As such, he has spent most of his years making questionable life decisions and enjoying the results. Mentored by its late-founder Bob Booth, he serves on the Executive Committee of the Northeastern Writers\u2019 Convention (a.k.a. Camp Necon). His first collection, <em>Monochromes and Other Stories<\/em>, was published in 2017, and he has sold stories to anthologies published by PS Publishing, ChiZine Publishing, the New England Horror Writers, Fantastic Books, and Zsenon Publishing. Boucher is the author of seven novels of horror and suspense \u2014 \u00a0<i class=\"\">The Shoals,\u00a0Diviner,\u00a011:11, Vessels,\u00a0Curnow&#8217;s Crossing,\u00a0<\/i><i class=\"\">Primal Fear<\/i>,\u00a0and <em>Vices<\/em> \u2014 as well as three collections of short horror stories (<i class=\"\">The Dead Hours,\u00a0Readings from the Book of Pain,\u00a0<\/i>and<i class=\"\"> In the House of Sin)<\/i>. In addition to his printed\u00a0fiction, he has also placed more than fifty short stories in the small and semi-pro press. One of his stories, &#8220;Cold Touch,&#8221; was reprinted in the hardcover anthology <i class=\"\">Quick Chills II: The Best Horror Fiction from the Specialty Press<\/i>, while several others have received honorable mentions in various editions of &#8220;Year&#8217;s Best Fantasy and Horror.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"\">As a writer, one of Brad\u2019s goals is to continually blur the lines between horror and other genres of fiction. His influences include Stephen King, Clive Barker, Graham Masterton, Joe R. Lansdale, Robert R. McCammon, Elmore Leonard, Jerzy Kosinski, Tom Franklin, Peter Benchley and Chuck Palahniuk. Dana&#8217;s Emma Fielding archaeology mysteries were optioned by Muse Entertainment; the third movie, based on <em>More Bitter Than Death<\/em>, premiered on the Hallmark Movie &amp; Mystery Channel in January, 2019.
